Operation Mode

The operating mode of the scope can be selected in the right side of the scope window:

The following operating modes are available:

Auto

The selected signals are recorded directly after pressing the start button. After the buffer in the device is full, the content is transferred to the PC.

The whole record length can be adjusted with the box sampling time. This time is limited to 1,000,000 milliseconds but should not exceed longer than 60000 milliseconds (60 seconds) in this mode. If a longer record length is required use the roll mode instead.

If the checkbox single is checked, the scope stops after one measurement, in the other case a new measurement is triggered immediately.

Rising >

In this operating mode the scope monitors the selected signal, and starts recording after a rising edge. The trigger level is set with the selector trigger level.

The signal which should be monitored, can be selected with the radio-buttons before each signal in the upper right window.

In the diaplayed example, the testsignal2 (blue) is selected as trigger source. The trigger level is set to 5V and a pretrigger of 20% is set.

With the selected sampling time of 100ms, 20 ms is displayed before the signal has reached the trigger level.

Falling <

The behaviour in the operating mode falling is similar to the rising mode, but a falling edge of the selected signal triggers the scope.

Roll

This operating mode is dedicated to slow changing signals, which should be monitored over a longer time. In this mode the internal device memory is not used, the data is sent directly to the PC. Because of this, the sampling time is not limited.

The sampling frequency is fixed to 100 Samples per second. The displayed time can be adjusted with the text box "roll time". After reaching the set time, the diagram is rolling to the left side, and the oldest data is lost.
